STS strengthens its focus on the North American market through the acquisition of PMC Engineering
STS Sensor Technik Sirnach AG announced today its acquisition of PMC Engineering LLC, a long-term distribution and technology partner.
STS and PMC have been together serving the North American market with cutting edge pressure and level sensing solutions since 2006.
The acquisition is an important strategic step to further expand the market penetration in North America and leverage the synergies in both application and product expertise of PMC and STS.

Launch of the level sensor Ø19mm ATM.1ST/N19
Due to discontinued electronic components, a redesign of the compact STS level sensor was necessary. Within this redesign, we have incorporated the following improvements into the new product:
• Improved cable gland
• Laser marking
• Standardized potting
• New transducer design
• Increased accuracy: up to 0.05%.
• Current and voltage output version PGA based
The new cable gland is completely welded with a more ergonomic design.
The new laser marking improves the legibility of the labeling. The standard potting improves the longevity of the level sensor.
The reengineered transducer design eliminates the torque effect of the sensor.
We will continue to develop the ATM.1ST/N19 in the future and enhance it with additional features.
